Working
Retriever Training Programs are geared toward the
hunting enthusiast. So whether you are looking for
a hunting companion (Gun Dog) or seeking for the best
of the best by competing, we have a program tailored
to meet your needs and goals for your retriever. We
will schedule an evaluation to determine if your retriever
has what it takes to be a “gun dog” or
a “competition dog”. We know your time
and money are valuable and do not want to waste it.
If your retriever does not make the cut, we can assist
you in finding the right retriever to meet your needs.

| All
Gundogs are completely trained at the level selected,
which includes exposure to decoys, boats, duck blinds,
live and dead birds, and are ready for the field when
they leave. |
When
selecting a dog for your hunting companion; it is our
recommendation NOT to have them spade or nurtured until
after their training is complete. This stops natural hormone
development and limits desire, especial in young dogs.
Gun
Dog Basic – Is
a 4 to 6 month program that covers your five commands
(sit, stay, here, heal and down) off lead, whistle
training, marking & retrieving, introduction to
gun shot, at 4 months of age or older. Call

Gun
Dog Intermediate –
Is a 4 to 8 month program that includes all the basics
plus Force Work & Basic Handling (Over, Left, Right
& Back). Call

Gun
Dog Advance – Is a
4 to 8 month program that includes all the basics plus
Force Work & Advance Handling (Over Left/Right, Backs
Left/Right, and Angles).

Competition
/ Hunting Dog –
Is a program that covers the standard your retriever
will be competing against at the UKC, AKC, Super Dog,
and World Retriever Competitions. It is a commitment
of both you and your canine. Not all retrieves have
the ability to compete at the Master and Finished
levels, but may be able to compete at the Junior and
Senior levels. We will work with you and your
retriever to determine level and ability to meet your

This is a detailed program that teaches a dog to understand
the technical aspects you will see during competition. |
| Tune-ups
– Every August we start scheduling
pre-season tune-ups for your working retriever to
help them get into shape before hunting season. Tune-up
covers marking, retrieving, and obedience. And more
importantly, we improve their physical cardio and
stamina to prevent injury or disaster in the field.
